Oz Wide Tuners 10.99s or Faster BA-FG List

So, like me, when I was looking for a tuner, I wanted to find a tuner who has not only experience in tuning, but someone who has cars proven to achieve the goal's I was after. I wanted a 10 sec pass without blowing everything up after 1 run.

Anyway I went on a search to see what workshops around me have proven 10 sec cars and packages. This is where I eventually ended up at Dyno-Mite Performance.

I am putting together a list of Tuners here who may help you on your mission to find your tuner in your area if your chasing speed over dyno figures.

Here is a list of Tuners and Cars who i have got from a whole bunch of forums and websites and their timeslip databases. As i do not have access to keep modifying just the OP I will try keep the page updated as much as possible.

If you know a car / tuner that is missing, please add it to the list. I am aware a few tuners on this forum have not accomplished such missions, but as soon as you do, feel free to have the car added to the list. This list is accurate and up to date

The higher on the list the Tuner is, the more cars they have in the list. If equal number of cars, then the faster car from the workshop is considered on top. I wont be numbering any after the top 3 else I will be sitting there forever changing numbers. 2 Marked in RED are Manual. Envy has put an auto in and ran the 8 sec 1/4mile pass, but still listed as 1 car. Let me know if a tuner/workshop is incorrect. I have updated and removed duplicate entries found around forums. I have changed cars from old tuners to new tuners. (IE: Spiro and his monster now fall under DLM)

I know SA has the quickest street tired and standard ZF in Australia using full weight.BF XR6T on 50% 98/50% E85 and 275/35/18 Nitto Invo's 260 tread wear.Tuned by Bruce Heinrich's I believe.Std turbo with .50 cover.Plazmaman plenum and 4" race box.

A Dash F6 has also run 10.97 at 131.7mph with lazy 60 foot.Same tuner/fuel and turbo but was run on ET Streets.

Results need to show what tire was used imo.

Nice work Icer. Hopefully my car will be added to the RDP list in the coming weeks with the help of some e85, race airbox and a retune. Elite also have a GTE S/C 5.0L which has run a 10.83@ 130mph owners name is Sutty.

No need for tyres to be listed IMO . Too much info then , and out come all the " but I was using real street tyres " people ...

Thread was started for a chest beat anyway,why does it have to be 10.99s or faster,ICER just has done this so Pitlane/others he hates cant have a mention,has done this thread before on the other forum he is banned from and had one sole objective at hand.

Having the manual trans stated above is just as much of a platform to beat the chest isn't it bloke?

JOSH feel free to add to the modular one i started a while back, i have just updated and be good to have some Aussie cars, the list only has cars running in the 8's or quicker, but for Aussie cars would be good to see cars running 11's and faster? maybe one for NA cars as well?

did i mention anything about pitlane and others? I think not. Carefully read the OP and it states why the 10.99 list is there. Lets face it, everyone wants a 10 second car. Would you entrust someone with 50 years experience? Or 50 years experience, and proven track records? I know my choice. Anyone could put this list up and it would be exactly the same. So doesn't matter that I put it up. Just I happened to have some time to devote to put it together.

The list is not about what tyres, what mods, how much power etc. This thread is just to help people decide what tuners around their area can help them out to achieve their goal's of a 10 second pass with an experienced tuner.

I'm sure most shops have more than 5 or 6 10 second BA-FG's roll out the doors, I can name that many of Simon (XFT's) cars without even trying....

And if this exercise is being done for the benefit of potential customers with their street cars, shouldnt we be just including street cars that are registered, driven to the track and swap tyres?..... caged race cars with lightening holes drilled everywhere are not exactly what 99.99% of modders on here are chasing are they?

EDIT: And things like fitting C4's and glides..... really?

No problem with an outright list but if we are doing this for the benefit of guys on this forum that want to take their daily driver to a shop and run a 10, why use 8 second cars as examples?

I mean why put cars in there that are clearly setup for the drags when practically everyone that logs on to AFF has modded street cars?

The standouts for me are cars like Christian's F6, wow what a car..... a BF F6 you wouldnt pick for anything other than a factory hot-up, sub 10 on a radial!

By all means have an outright list but some of these cars are not a credible example for guys on here that want a 10 second street car is all I am saying

unfortunately no matter what the list involves, there will always be some unhappy campers. This list is a list of cars street/full drag that a workshop has achieved a 10.99 or faster time in a BA-FG.

Where does this leave 8 and 9 second race cars that have gone through engines to set records?... its not a slight against anyone because to make omlettes you gotta break eggs but its not what your intention was when you opened it?

Shows tuners who have a 10.99 sec pass in ANY trim/form BA-FG. Feel free to add to the list. If a workshop has been tuning for a long time they know what is needed to be added to the above list. Would people think the same if another user posted the OP thread?

Dont really know who you are so I have no preconception/axe to grind

I have met Dion at the AFF nats this year, a really nice bloke and has runs on the board with tuning and his XD is an impressive race car, but Clinic running a 9.8 at the AFF Forum nats in 2010 did nothing for me because of what the car is/how it was raced... arrived on a trailer and the car almost hit the wall due to the way the suspension was setup.

Good on them for going for broke but what I question is that you are going to use that as one example of a car to validate your opening post, I repeat:

I just dont see how it relates... are you saying if the tuner can make the engine hang together go see them?

You also said

Full street trim just doesn't cut it.

Are you trying to find out the best tuner or the best car setup.

Needs to be some sort of order with this, if you were to split into two groups you could have a few different ways to split that list into Race/Street:

Slick/Radial
Caged/Uncaged
Race Fuel or E85/Unleaded
Stripped/Full Weight

Of the above, I think Slick/Radial is the best way to break them down... its easy to identify and lets face it if you go to the track with radials in the boot, chances are you drove it there, the Brembo's are still on the car and the swaybars are still residing underneath.

Also not to many cars I know of run radials and get gutted out with weight reductions.
