First way to get stuff fixed is answer the questions because I don't have all day to mail back and forth.
The thing about rad and therms is heat if the car isn't getting hot enough quick enough it thinks it's still cold and runs on cold settings kinda like running around on the choke all day. While this may not be consistant with your model it is overlooked time and time again. Things as simple as fitting a heavey duty radiator with out the correct therma can cause a huge fuel prob. cheers
