Talking Finally Here

Don't know if you've seen my other thread so I thought I'd post in here as well.

You may or may not remember I was trying to get new wheels for the Cougar and was finding all sorts of trouble sourcing them here or anyone interested in helping source them but after a little while I decided to import them myself.

I'm just sharing a few update pics of my Cougar with the new wheels.

I got to say the wait was well worth it.

That is a slick looking cougar. Do any of the SVT rims fit the cougar?

I did have the 04 Focus SVT rims on before these. The offset left a little gap between the rear guard and top of the rim, not too bad but was noticeable. These are custom drilled and are the Cougar's oem offset so suit the car perfectly.
Btw. thanks all for your comments.

Nice body kit. Is that an import or local?

Technically imported, although I think both Professor and I purchased from the same local company 'Unreal Autosports' in Sydney. We both have the Wings West 4 piece bodykit. Professor has the 99-00 rear and I have the 01-02 rear piece being the only difference

Thanks for the info Dan. You can see the body kit of my Eibach in one of the other threads "Howz everyone cougar going?". I ve posted some pics there. Not able to deceide whether go change the body kit or stick to the Eibach kit. Only thing is it doesnt have rear bottom spoiler. Right now am concentrating on mechanical side. Once am done there, I will start on body kit, wheels and paint.

cheers

Yogi.

I think you should keep your kit original. Your car is an Eibach Cougar after all and that bodykit was part of the Eibach Cougars package.
It's a great looking kit and suits the Cougar well.

Agree with Angelo. The Eibach Cougar kit is great and I think if you've kept it well, should stay on the car. (I've seen a number with no front lips, I assume the owners probably scraped them one too many times!) The Eibach kit suits the Cougar to a tee, even without a rear bar.

I didn't go for the Eibach kit because 1) the front doesn't fit the 01 bumper, and 2) my car is not an Eibach Cougar.

Opposite to Yogi, I've got a car that looks great and goes much the same as it did when it rolled out from the factory. The final project (an exhaust) merely awaits time and financial funding. I got permission from the better half, so I think I'm past the most difficult hurdle there!

True, I should keep the original kit. Its in great shape. I still have the front lip (front spoiler) on car. It restricts me to enter into few fuel stations, some McDonalds & KFCs. It didnt bother me. Thanks for sharing your opinion.

Cheers

Yogi

Bunter, tried and failed. Can't find them online anymore.

The web address I have is: www.unrealautosports.com and it no longer works.

I have their phone number from my invoice but not sure if you'll have any luck
(02) 9801 0626 and email sales@unrealautosports.com

Keeping in mind this is information from 2006.

See how you go,

Dan

You can buy the Kit from Andy's Autosport in the US. I bought the side skirts from them and a few other thing. With the USD rate pricing is good.
Shipping is quoted before you commit to order so you can see overall cost prior to confirming. Support is great to.

Bunter if you going to go into the import business remember that shipments under A1000.00 do not pay any customs duty or gst over the A$1000.00 threshold you will pay 5% customs duty and 10% gst before you can take delivery.

Free Trade Agreement (FTA) with the USA will knock the duty off but make sure the invoice complies with the requirements; country of origin etc.

I didn't have any dealings with customs, I just ordered and got them sent directly to my fitter.
