Default Replacement panel air filter?

Folks,
I'm after replacing the standard panel filter on my CL LS and the two obvious choices are K&N and BMC - both good product I am sure.
The thing is . . . I am being quoted $90 for the K&N (Part No:33-2877) and $130 for the BMC (Part No:318/01).
I don't want this to turn into a K&N vs BMC thing but what's the actual difference is in the two.
Why is the BMC $40 more?
And can anyone do a better price for me on either?

Cheers

Fredo

The flow rate between the K&N and a replaceable cotton filter is negligible, and you don't have the hassle of cleaning and re-oiling as well as high upfront cost.
