December 13th was the date that was set by AMC for the first steet meet and to run fortnightly opposite to Calder and timing boards early next year. But till I drop the clutch on a green light first race i have i will believe it !!.

Forget drag racing! Get yourselves a mountain bike and chuck yourself off of big drops.

I don't blame you for being sceptical. The AMRC (circuit racing organised by that same AMC) cancelled various race meetings in 2008 at the last minute.

Additionally they had the hide to blame competitors for the cancellations even though the organisers had done no promotion - not even an email to prospective competitors or an update of their website to include an entry form (until the last minute).

Queensland Raceway/Willowbank has a different approach to its business. It actually promotes its forthcoming events well ahead and treats competitors like customers by inviting them to participate.

A simple business principle isn't it.

Another example of "what the" business practice by the AMC was to recently blame an old staff member for not having our booking and when we tried to re-book, our booking wasn't good enough and they would rather wait and see if something else was going to come along! When we uped our offer to more days they said the matter was closed and we wouldn't be able to participate in any alternative event.
