Default New member saying G'Day

Hi all just joined so thought I would say g'day and wish you all a happy new year.

On another topic I have just bought myself a brand new XR6T Ute 6 Speed Manual and was very excited as it was my first ever brand new car.

So far I am loving it except for some serious issues with the gear box.

I was told that it would be a bit sticky through the gears until it loosend up a bit but it has proved to be more trouble than that.

Issues have been not being able to change down from 3rd into second (intermittently) not being able to select 1st even when at a stand still, changing from 2nd to 3rd seems like its got a meshing problem and when backing off to coast there is a clunk which sounds like backlash, and then there is the clicking noise every time I press the clutch in.

Is anybody else aware of problems with these gearboxes or have I just scored a dodgy one.

Apart from that the rest of the car is great and I love driving it

Any feedback on this problem would be great as it goes in for its first service next week and would like some info to use with the service people

Thanks Jason
