Default Whats happening with your car now?

I was just thinkin (i do a lot of thinkin out loud on here... might have to stop that..hehe ) how funny it is that I rather be on here than fixing up the front end on my xb or washing the xf?

So what are your cars up to at the moment? Getting rebuilt, painted, new engine?

XB - Front end replacement & spray job(after a slight pole excursion)
XF - gathering dust & bird perch (covered in bird poo... seaguls have discovered Bendigo!!!)

XH - At home in the shed, might go for a drive in it this weekend
NC - Here at work, will get a run to melbourne tomorrow
Courier - At my mum's house she is going to get some plants for her garden on the weekend.
Patrol - At home in the shed, it had a run last weekend. I think new cam and lifters shortly it does have a bit of a rattle.

The ute is at the panel beaters getting a few little bits painted that missed out when it was done last year, next week it's off to get some new rear springs to rid me of the lowering blocks before rego.
The Company BA is resting between sorties downstairs and the Landrover is quietly dripping oil on the garage floor at home (as they do ) :

Regards,
Tote

Both of mine are never ending projects. Got everything there with some brand new panels to do the panel and paint on the XF, doesn't really need it i'm just really picky. Got alot of new engine bits to put on. And gotta put a new idler and pitmin arm to put on. New fuel and water pump. Might give the carby a overhaul soon as well. Otherwise that ones good and the interior is smick. The XY is never ending. Just got a vacuum tank to put on it, want to get some after market gauges to keep an eye on everything. Change the 4.11's with some 3.5's in the 9". Need to put some wax over the new paint. Gotta fix up the hand brake and also would like to get the simmons on it that i have recently bought. I just got offered some genuine globes 5off fow $1000 though which i might snatch up cause they are mint. Want to reset the leaves in the rear and take out the 1 1/2" lowering blocks and put some Koni adjustable in the front as well (already in the rear). Wouldn't mind a 5speed to replace the toploader also. _2:

Have to install right colour shocker mounts.
Fix exhaust (location a bit iffy, straighten it up).
Find some 5 slots without paying HUGE money, add tyres and redwall.
Give it a tune up.

Get it registered!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Currently sitting in a shed at an undisclosed location, hasn't been driven for over 2 months. ...... :(

Need to fix up my water injection but believe that's only a minor electrical fault. Important for summer months though.

Quite a few things need fixing... im reluctant to do anything to the exterior as it's a genuine daily driver and as such, constantly gets battered in inner city and suburban carparks.

Certainly no major mods on the horizon... just keep her ticking over. Keep it reliable.

XF pano: getting wheel alignment tomorrow, only because its not safe anymore. other than that i dont give a hoot about it anymore and the problems can stay as they are. i guess ill have to get new front tyres too. once the Maxima is on the road, this POS is outta here!

ZL: will remain stock. ultra reliable but needs tyres and oil/fluid change (overdue)

Nissan Maxima: making brown grass patches, waiting for small things to finish it (screws, clips tyres and things like that) then its off for a VIV, RWC and then REGO. after that, i dont care as its the missus car.

Wing is being painted, roof and boot are in half-polished state (until theres more shade): I'm currently undertaking the worst cut and polish job known to man, there are these black bits all over the roof and boot and its starting too accumulate on the pillars also, I'm assuming it's from the power lines at the train station as the xr6t remains unscathed being parked in the driveway right next to the eb. but they dont wash off so i've had to painstakingly cut and polish the whole thing and it takes a lot of rubbing to get them to come off. I don't sit there trying to rub the cloth through the panels btw, I have to gently go over the same 5cm x 5cm area like 10 times to get them off. I've got some lamps I'm going to get around to putting in the front bar eventually too, along with a steering wheel which is also in the 'eventually' pile.
