Default V40 SS Commodore

[ I just posted this on the LS1 forum, but I thought it funny enough to post here too .. ]

Ha ha ha ... just spotted a VY SS with 5 (five) "V8" badges on it. Two in their normal spots on the front guards, two below the "SS" badges on the rear doors and one below the "Commodore" badge on the boot ... just in case anyone missed that it was a V8!!

Geez .. I better get a few V8 badges for my 343CI Javelin .. it's only got "343" badges .. no V8s anywhere!! How will people know it's a V8? Maybe they can ask me if they can hear my response over the sweet burble ..

While thats funny and overboard whats the difference between that and people splattering tickford badges all over their car. At least its a V8 so not exactly making it out to be anything different.

Aww .. that's not nice .. "an old Coupe"? The Javelin and AMX are the only two nice looking cars American Motors made

BTW: AMC Javelin won the TransAm series in '71 ..

If I was still driving my Escort, I'd happily bow him away with 'half a motor', lol! :

Fair bit smaller car though (owned both) .. AMC also built an AMX which is basically the same car with about a foot taken out of the wheelbase and converted into a two-seater ... at the time the only two seater USA-built car oter than the Corvette.

Crumbs! I feel a bit short of the mark....I haven't any badges anywhere, engine size, type ,maufacturer or anything1 I'm shamed to say that some of our Ford comrades suffer similar identity crises....
In Scotland, people de-badge their Beemers all the time but you are guaranteed that all the de-badged ones were 4 pot povvo-pack models.

No offense intended, but is it just me or does anybody else see those pictures of the cars posted above looking a bit like a shrunk down Leyland P76?

Bit hard not to be offend by that! Seriously it's a atypical pony car .. most people who see it think it's a Mustang .. even with not a Ford nor Mustang badge in sight!!
