Info needed.....
What motor do you have at the moment?
Do you qwant a total swap, or just EFI on your current block?
Escort = 4cyl....still want 4cyls, or something more wild?
Will it be used for street (needing valid rego) or some other purpose?

I've seen a zetec efi system on a pinto, a duratec engine conversion (not sure of box), and then you could go the V8 route, or change engine brand allegiances.
Lots is possible subject to engine bay space, time ,money and rego authorities.

hi,

no motor or box at the moment, rolling shell. was thinking of a straight swap to efi. needs to be registered for daily use. was thinking nissan SR20/18, cheapsih option in mind as have 3 kids, and 2 other classic cars. 4cyl prefered as dont want to cut up car to fit a 6 or 8.

thanks for the help

why not get hold of a standard pinto EFI setup that way everything is standard escort

they pop up every so often

this one might be still available

It all depends do you want to stay with a ford motor?

Mazda MX5 1/2 cut maybe? You could probably get "Ford" rocker covers for that engine too.
