The Shepperton AME show is now only 2 days away. Both Brenden and Jim have put in the extra yards to make sure the "Time Machine" will get the attention it deserves. After witnessing some "tweaking" of the cars program tonight, it would appear that Brenden and Jim are not content with 591.3HP.
This weekend is set to be a scorcher!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Default Ame Shepperton

Hi Everyone,

Just got back from the show and saw you all wanted to know how we went.

Overall the show was cold yet entertaining.

And yes Dave, the burbons did inspire me.

The car won turbo six, top Tickford car and overall horse power hero.

Thanks again for the support

Take care

Brenden

So is this car still running on the unobtainable (to the average user) and largely unpractical 110 octane race fuel? I thought most official dyno benchmarking enforced a 98 octane maximum? How much does the 110 octane add to the performance tuning over the 98? I'd suggest it would make it easier to run more boost with less change of premature detonation.

Do all other dyno runners use 110 octane fuel or a more standard 98?

Last I hear the car was filled up at the Mobil Servo on Kororoit Rd so I'd say its running pump fuel like the rest of them.

The Higher Octane fuel does allow you to run higher boost levels, with less risk of detonating.

Just for interest sake, what is the large amount of white smoke/steam that come out of the exhaust after the power runs have been done on the dyno..
And congrats on the result.

Cheers

Why not, just takes a little more concentration to drive.
My car produces 400rwkw +, is a daily drive, i tow a tralier with it regulary and it is my only car. I also travel intereste a number of times a year...

I disagree. Mine idels and drives perfectly normal.
I get around 350km per tank driving around town and 400 - 450km when highway driving. It towes nicely and has nice throttle response from down low right hte way through both on and off boost......

Well done with the figures so far Brendan, definately some good numbers there.

I'm curious what is your aim with the car?
- Large Dyno numbers?
- Quarter mile times?
- Show Car?
- Powerfull Daily Drive?

NO, the car is not running on 110 octane fuel. This fuel was tested and found unsuitable for the application. There is a complete list of fuels that are approved for this series of car shows. And it is the same as what is allowed to be used at Summernats.

On Saturday, the "Time Machine" had 3 runs on the DYNO at the Melbourne AME show.
The first 2 runs where 580+hp and the third and final run it churned out 605hp at the wheels. Well done Brenden
We will post the dyno print out later today.
