The convertors still the same since Dions workshop 4 years ago, its a 2800 stall.... but is very loose now as the its making more torque since then. I wasnt looking at the revs that night, i have had it at 3800 on the street.
Will check the Gopro video when i recieve it on disk, as i had it setup looking at the dash.

Good to have a photographer at Calder....thanks very much fullboost. Would never of picked the rear tyre doing that without a still capture.

you might as well just save your money buying slicks and run on the rims, looks like you're doing that anyway i know u were running low psi, but, are they a stiff sidewall slick? |

Needs bit more tyre pressure to stop it folding on itself . Will help it launch with more boost too good luck

Awesome results though !
Also you may find with too low pressure the slick will spin on the rim easier too . Definitely mark the rim / tyre to see if it is moving on you .

is it a Hoosier or a M/T slick? the Hoosier is always a little softer sidewall, usually add .5-1psi on what you would run with the M/T.
also get rid of the 8'' wheel and get the 10'' should hookup better with the wider wheel. |

Just had a look at the tyre and they still line up with the valve cap, so try did not budge , I find that strange as they moved at Heathcote.

Also low psi will hurt your mph a bit .

bloody Hoosier's
start at 15-16psi and work ur way down. might be worth measuring them straight after the run, in the braking area runoff, see how much they pick up after the pass n burnout. throw the Go-Pro on the tyre, apart from making a pretty sweet looking video, you might be able to pickup other stuff as it's going down track. here's one we did http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=78VGsmQry7Q |

I have a 17x9.5 you can use for a meet with Skyline offset which is the same or very close to our Falcons, although I doubt you can get a full slick in a 17''.

Ah thanks for the offer Mark, haven't touched anything on the rear.
I'd like to stick with the Hoosier slicks, that way i won't have to purchase a new set of tyres for your rims. Hopefully I can find a set when I take it out again, maybe in January .

Currently taking the factory turbo off, and replacing it with a gtx3582, would be good to see some comparisons between the two.

Chalk and cheese...intake will need tweaking to stop rubbing on power steering line though.

I used a universal one but modified it.
You will love the turbo...I used my GTX for the first time in cool weather Saturday night and ran 126.5mph from 17psi on pump fuel tune. Not sure if the old turbo was on the limit but you now have genuine 9 second potential I recon

Practically very much the same sized wheel, just 0.7 cover. I don't believe 9s will be on the cards with this turbo at Heathcotes track, i would be happy with a 10.3 there, as i went 10.63 at last years AFF day.
