XD-XF 4.1 had a carby including post 1986 unleaded engines.

throttle body injection from 3.2, 3.9 EA , lot of AU taxi around converted to full gas with throttle body manifolds. even seen a turbo gas. wouldn't be too hard to get a carby manifold for a EA engine into a bus/camper.

have they used the 3.3 to make it easy for rego?

in the old days the regulation morrons came up with all sorts of silly ideas like only allowing a percentage increase of power or capacity. Im not up on QLD and a coaster was a commercial with a full chassis.. Ie 25% of 3 liter wont allow a 4 liter. but maybe a coaster might have had a big diesel option.

from another thread:

Quote:
1974 Ford XB Falcon runing a EB 4.0ltr OHC motor without EFI, Weber carby (XF), EA carby manifold with custom adaptor, EFI fuel pump, large extractors, 2.5" system with single Berkley muffler, T5 gearbox, standard XB/XC non-lsd diff, lovells front springs, extra leafs in the rear. Was a pretty simple conversion, although Im having a teething problem with the Weber. It is a bit hard to start sometimes like its flooding or something, also running the EFI pump without any regulator so it might be pumping too much fuel. Runs fine tho, big improvement over the old non-crossflow 250, and still a big improvement over the 250 cross-flow. The engine mounts look pretty standard, not sure, but looks like a straight forward swap.
