Yeah that's been floating around for a while. Sounds hot as. Not the sort of sound you would expect from a Focus!!! The way it tears away from the Beamer is amazing.

By the sounds of it when it takes off I don't think it's RWD. Sounds like torque steer everytime he smashes the throttle. And it would probably cost too much!! Wouldn't say overkill because it would be worth it, just for the sound and the reaction on people's faces when they hear it. But you're better off dropping a turbo instead. More bang for buck

I think you'll find it is RWD.

Ford Racing developed the RS8 Focus to show off their crate engines. Kugel Komponents made a conversion kit including engine cradle, driveshafts, and Mustang rear end...everything but the engine

They're RWD. They use a T5 5 speed manual and a 9 inch rear diff. "Common" mod in the USA, in that there's more than one of them, probably a dozen or so in the USA.

Pretty awesome stuff. The Ford racing one's the best - Ford did a concept called the RS8.

Only in America! This is different to the one that was going around a little while back and I believe it was done in the UK.

This one is definately a RWD. There is simply no way a FWD gearbox and 351 would fit.

Also the engine itself wouldn't fit in a Focus engine bay. The firewall would have to be cut and rebuilt to accomodate it. Try get that road registered here :P

I stand corrected! Gladly corrected!! Impressive. I knew there were a few floating around the US. Had no idea on numbers though. Hadn't really thought about the engine and gearbox not fitting in, but now that you've said it, it's blatantly obvious, hey?

Chris, sounds good about the XR6T engine. Any more details/videos of it?
