Default Wade's new PB ET:12.99

Hey guys, just spoke to my ol' mate wade, with his new Aussie post edit tune and mod, has just posted a 13.06 at 105.4, 1.82 60 with a bag of wheelspin.

I think he is in for a big night, he read me out his increments earlier, and I think we are hopefully about to add another 12 sec XR8 to our stable.

Geez dude, 2 tenths up on your PB, congrats man you ROCK!

They work man, the tunes are a great thing, coupled with the right bolt on's a 12 is pretty much a guarantee. Look at the top 5 unopened 260 in aust......

me - 12.69
Sly XR8 - 12.90
Wade - 12.99
XR8888 - 13.02
ORSMXR - 13.12 SP9000 tyres

All cars we have tuned, all clients who have slept at my house, ate my food, been watching me dyno their cars, and just great guys who love their Fords.

The people on the list have become some of my greatest personal mates. I cannot help myself - I am a rev head first and a businessman second, so the road this year for me has been hard, but let me fill you in on some personal points.

Sly XR8 running a 13.15 early days. the look on his face, priceless.

Orsmxr - one of the fastest you will come across on the street. Ran a 13.12, the look on his face also made my day.

Wade? definitley persistent, loves his ford, a real trier, but now contender.

XR8888? got a big number in it, one to watch. I ran a 13.28 early days in his car after missing a gear, and its MY fault XR8888 didn't get the early crown, a failure i cannot shake......

There is a also a little lightning strike ute that more than deserves to be part of this list, watch out for it. as for the little green sedan...........sheeeesh!

I have been having a crap week - Wade's news tonight has lifted me more than you guys know, and to have people happy is more than i can ever ask for - no matter who tunes the car, builds the diffs, fits the cams, whether its been to the track or not.....................

Im just glad i know these guys, their blood runs blue, and i know that the thought of inching closer to our LS1 counterparts keeps them revved up.

Cheers Wade. You are the man, and the one to beat. Beers are on me.

P.S - seriously dude - how's the throttle body feel now?

Well done guys on helping getting the Fords back into competitiveness with the LS1's

Wade....1.82 60 footer is a pearler! What mph was the run? A nice 107 or so like Chris and Sly are getting would see it way below high 12's

Well first I'm having trouble wiping the smile off my face, Chris mate you are a honour to know dude your help and knowledge you give me is second to none love ya work.
Mate on the throttle body i think that was half the troubles I was having tonight shes so responsive and toey no lag as you said feels like a cable throttle, throwing the gears and update in at once made it tough to figure out but hey bigger the challenge the better i say.
On tonight man it was a pearler of a night had 11 passes(was hardley anyone there) the new diff gears were a big handfull will take a bit of getting use to, heres my run in order.

13.067@105.41 1.829 60'

13.275@105.82 1.987 60'

13.214@105.84 1.933 60'

13.241@105.45 1.938 60'

14.262@100.95 1.980 60' missed 2nd

13.078@106.03 1.868 60'

12.997@106.17 1.830 60'

13.065@106.03 1.881 60'

13.103@105.46 1.915 60'

13.044@106.15 1.859 60'

13.625@102.42 1.964 60' missed 3rd

rel humidity 82%
air temp 17c
track temp 29c
Mate these 4.1 diff gears are wild the 4 13.0's had good start but was doing lousy gear changes, first gear is a bit of a blur might need a shift light. On my first pass did good start good gear changes but when I hit 2nd she spun most of the gear (was the first car down the track) could of been a good one. Mate I just stoked to get into the 12's better driving I think i could get a bit more out of it.
Lastly thanks Craig(Phantom) and Rich (HOT460) for your support also well done Rich he won the jackpot for best reaction time .004 plus $300.
Fogot to mention my car is a 6speed manual.

we should keep the LS1 chit chat out of this one because we have discussed it before, and this one is Wade's thread....there unopened record is 11.5.... full weight and with valve spring changes its more like high 11's low 12's...we leave that one now, PM me if you need more details.

well done Wade...I wrapped for you mate. To be the 1st manual 260 in the 12's is a great effort. I don't think many people realise how difficult it is to launch a manual car.

Hopefully I will join you soon.

Cheers
