Default Brad Personett smashes the 10.5W tyre record on the weekend! video included

how impressive is this? i know it's not a Ford but Brad Personett ran a 6.08@250mph (previous best was believed to be Todd Moyer with a 6.22 at around 230mph) on a 10.5W this weekend at the Street Car Supernationals in Las Vegas. i saw the run on the live feed, and heard he was running a 10.5 but i had to ring a mate that was there to confirm he actually was on 10.5's as far as i know this is the first outing on a 10.5 also, i think we may see a 5-sec pass if he continues on with them

Wow !!!! And so many people here use so many excuses for traction on a 10.5 inch tyre with half that power !!!

He will run a 5 in the next couple of months on a 10.5 , i have no doubts .

Chris, i wish we had tracks like that also, most mobs don't want to fork out for all the prep-work. i was watching the live-feed and the tracks were prepped, im talking a full proper prep, after every round, sometimes twice a round.

Danny, i know people complaining with just a third of the power. i know u know that Toyota power its unstoppable

i would absolutely love for him to continue with the 10.5, but like i was telling u tonight and so the other people know, it may have just been a one off, Brad's car was a little bit too light, and putting on a 10.5 tyre allowed him a weight reduction on like 50-100lbs which was enough for him to be able to enter in the class. to be able to put 3500hp down on a 10.5 and never have done it before and run those numbers is an absolute credit to the team
