Default New AU XR8 owner

Hi All,
I have just picked up a 01' XR8 ute and trying to verify exactly what i have as reading all sorts of conflicting stuff on the interwebs! (who would have guessed??)
Ute has three prior owners and a what looks like a traceable history, with dealer sales documents, and bits and pieces (have not gone through it all yet.
It was a local Melbourne car and someone may even know of it
so far paperwork says it is a 200KW 5 speed XR, Galaxy Blue with Leather trim- does that sound right for a 04/2001 build? it also has just over 155K klm on the clock.
is there somewhere to decode the Vin etc and find otu for sure??
Many thanks
M@
