Latest word from the track is..... a new record for ANY BA

A particular black XR6T just went 10.92@128mph. I'm sure there will be more later on but what a bloody quick time!

No doubt geea's 10 second pass was awesome though it's been done over 12 months ago (not taking anything way from Craigs awesome pass, well done craig) though I reckon getting the BA Boss ute at full street weight into the mid 11's (never done before) is even more exciting for the Boss V8 fans, (fantastic effort Rod and crew) dare we even think about high 10's in the near future for the twin turbo boss. :

Go the big Boss. :

It has taken awhile for the C&V record to be broken. I never wanted to use the C&V method though. A record is a record but i've never been a big fan of using NOS.
I agree with Rod's car it's a great achievement and Rod has always been at the forefront of the development of the BOSS engine. I have spent many a cold night at Calder with Rod (and Mark) and Rod's achievement is all the more amazing when you consider how far it is to the next quickest BOSS.

P.S. Peter, you might need to change some of your sig. :

Gea are you saying that the APS phase 111 car run by CandV was on NOS?

Correct and also amazing when you consider the weight on the APS twin turbo Boss ute - this car has posted a mid 11 at full street weight which is laso very pleasing as this model BA ute is the heaviest BA of all. :

Talk about being a sore loser. Geea's achievement is even more special than the C&V effort due to it being privately owned and using street tyres. The C&V car needed full slicks and a big weight reduction to get it done, and also blew the trans, whereas Geea's car still see's everyday street duties and is still quicker.

Explain to me how a car with less cubes and one less turbo runing a 10 second pass isnt as exciting as a car with more cubes and 1 extra turbo running a mid 11? Shit Peter Yes Rods Ute is fkn awesome but i think Geeas car is more amazing, that record he broke was held for a long time and hes just blowen it away, Rods car is pioneering what has been done. Credit where credit is due, Thats what my comment was saying, Hes just beaten everyone that has competed with the same car convincingly. Agreed? Whos rod competeing against? His own N/A title???? Or other N/A cars?? Sure as hell isnt anyone else running around with a TT boss YET : . Well done on the kit, looks amazing. Rods car is fkn awesome and will no doubt run ALOT faster before he hooks it upto the trailor.

Well done Geea, Your MPH means youlle go faster yet. Lets see if the Big backed companies that have a street car not a tubbed out race car can catch you now.

Quote:

Who cares?? so what does that mean that any record thats been made before isnt awesome if its beaten? _

It’s all good; it’s all Ford, all done on the same night.
Lets not get into whose achievement is better, to each person there will be something special about the car and the ET:
So let’s keep only the positive stuff going, because both these cars have given us Ford fans something to smile about...
For that we should be grateful to Rod, Craig, APS & HPF for putting in the effort.
