Default PB's @ AFF Heathcote Meet

I was fortunate to see some PB's tonight at Heathcote.

Whoosha in his AU3 XR8 220 sedan ran a 13.7 @ ???
Kev-XR8 ute ran a 12.45 @ 110
Craig in the Ace BA 3 valve ran a 12.83 @ 109

All stand out performances and easily their PB's.

I am sure there is some others, but i wasnt there long.

Very close! My problem is I'm turning the tyres off the line. Guestimations of what I feel? I dare say it's no less than 20ft of wheel spin as I can feel the rear tyres shaking. I feel the tyres stop shaking then I see the 60ft time pop up on the time board. I'm going to fit some sort of traction device. Don't have any choice now. I think I may have broke the rear suspension?? I'll see when I get the car back today. The diff winds up and hits the floor on lauch (bump stops).

60 was 1.60. I don't think I did anything less than 1.6 60's all night. I have some video but they of runs when I had a passenger.

Same problem as me I was turning them through first and even into second, the diff winds up so much it ripped the tramp rods out from the saddle, did you have new tyres? I dont think your old ones would be helping at all, the 60's should be in the 1.4's with that power, get it down to that and it'll run well into the tens on every pass.

No, can't afford new tyres. The tyres are still quite soft. Best I've seen with a similar setup is 1.5's. 1.4's would be good but I don't think it'll ever go there.

I ran my BA XT V8 at Heathcote with one goal in mind and that was to get a ET slip that had a 12 second run on it. We stripped the car and put it together like a semi Drag Car. (more info later when i wake up properly).

1st Run 1.92 60ft 12.95 @ 105.56 (1st 3V into 12's)
2nd Run 1.83 60ft 12.86 @ 107.07
3rd Run 1.87 60ft 12.91 @ 109.41
4th Run 1.83 60ft 12.83 @ 106.76
5th Run 1.81 60ft 12.78 @ 108.67 (New PB)
6th Run 1.97 60ft 13.11 @ 105.78 (6000 RPM Launch)

Thanks everyone

More later after i attend to family duties.

Regards Craig

The boys from APS had their car flying and also 3 of their customers cars as well and possibly a few new records

The Black Blown Ute ran a PB of 10.88
Nathans unopened LS1 ute ran a PB of 11.19
Jays full weight Grange ran a PB of 12.24
And APS first full attempt with a XR8 for Brendan ran a 12.85 after a couple 13.0's, this was Brendans first ever time driving down the 1/4

I'm sure the numbers will get corrected if I'm out

Chris from blue power had his Ute running again (last minute decision) to run some low 11 sec passes (maybe 11.22) with a heap of traction problems.

He also had a customers I6 Au running in the 14's on their first attempt

Congratulations Craig on a fantastic night's racing!! That BA certainly looks the part, and that fordforums.com.au signage up the side of the car looks fantastic!!!
