Default Stevens Focused On Tin Tops Doorslammer Battle

Queensland's Brett 'The Boss' Stevens will be back on his home track at Willowbank Raceway on April 8 to turn up the heat for Round 6 of the Australian Top Doorslammer Championship at the QT Tin Top Titles.

The Australian Top Doorslammer Championship is arguably the most popular professional Drag Racing bracket in the country amongst both fans and racers, with some of the world's quickest sedans blasting down the
quarter mile in 6 seconds flat.

Stevens, the 2004 National Champion and perennial Doorslammer front runner will be competing in his famous 3000 horsepower Jack Daniel's Racing Studebaker and is determined to close out the seasons final two rounds, the Tin Top Titles and Winternationals, with the form that has
made him one of the most feared competitors at the track.

With the comparatively easier racing schedule at the Tin Tops of only having to compete in the one professional bracket as opposed to his normal task of racing in three categories, it will give him the time to
focus all of his efforts on winning Top Doorslammer.

"The Top Doorslammer racing this year has been as exciting as it gets,"
Stevens said.

"With so much quality opposition from all round the country entering at every event it is a battle to just qualify for the 8 car Finals."

"The Tin Top's is going to be vital in the points chase for all racers and on the current form of the bracket there are no guarantees, except
that there is going to be some hard and fast racing."

"Our goal at every event is to win and that's exactly how we will be entering the Tin Tops and we will be stepping up our car accordingly."

"There is absolutely no room for being complacent and with our added luxury of only competing in the one bracket, it will be an all out
assault by our team at Willowbank."

The 2005/2006 Top Doorslammer season has so far seen 22 different drivers competing in the category and with only an 8 car Finals field at each event, has subsequently seen the record book thrown out the window with the quickest Top Doorslammer pass in the world as well as some of
the quickest fields in history.

The Tin Top Titles is Australia's premier Drag Racing event for sedans, headlined by the professional Top Doorslammer and Pro Stock categories as well as featuring numerous other support brackets in a full day of action packed entertainment that sees cars reach speeds of nearly
400km/h and cover the quarter mile in just 6 seconds.

Valued Contributor: For members whose non technical contributions are worthy of recognition. - Issue reason: Jim has consistently for some time now shared his life, and his passions in his XY GT and more so his FG GT in a way so everyone here feels part of the journey, which helps make AFF such a worthwhile place to be. An outstanding contributor in my book.
