Perhaps Rod should bring his beast out for a run? Has George Haddad finished his magic on it?

Rod there numbers are low for the support card there is plenty going on that weekend plus many would be taking of for the weekend.
George Haddad is never in a hurry when engine building, once he sees the green light then he is in a hurry.

Sorry mate, what's being served up at calder is NOT racing. It's exhibition only.
I would lay money on a few 1/4 or 1/2 track passes with a couple of tractionless early shutoffs.

Bands? Stunt shows? Sounds more like a circus than racing.

There have been major car events held for over 20 years on the easter weekend,
The street machine nats used be on easter weekend, before they moved it and called it the summer nats.
Bob also had a street car nationals there quite a few years ago, with drags, grass driving events and driving around the thunderdome.

When Calder was at it's peak about 15 years or so ago I remember they had an event with the drags, thunderdome, and jet boats and 4wd's in the infield, along with the motorkhana etc, was a good weekend

Bike boys will be there in force. 17 entries when i spoke to calder last. Romeo capitanio was going to be running a 3rd fuel car, but unfortunatley the sponsor for the day pulled out last week and they wont be there. However, there are also 3 doorslammers running. Peter Kapiris, Deno Brijeski and Paul Greghini. The first 2 have been 6.0's and Greghini in the teens. Also, Shane Baxter in his CC/DA will be there, hopefully running into the 6.70's along with quite a few other competition and super stock cars. I raced there on Saturday night and i must say the track is much better since the repairs. Considering the track temp was 12 degrees, i still managed a 9.34 which is 6 hundredths off my PB of 9.28, with a 1.34 60' compared to the best of 1.28. So i would say with some heat in the track, the buzz of the crowd, and hopefully some setup assistance from a car chassis builder, we should be able to get the bikes into the 20's again (bloody hope so, it has been 3 years.)
