Australian ones - Falcon/Fairlane from 1968, I think. I've owned a few of them.

If we are just talking about Australian Fords, that would be XT/ZB, XW/ZC, XY/ZD.

Donor car with a V8 and C4 will be hard to find.
Might get a motor and trans from a Mustang where someone is doing an engine conversion.

Might be worth sourcing them separately. Go for a EB-AU fuel injected Windsor which will likely have much less bore wear and swap the intake over for an aftermarket intake/carb.

You can as suggested use a late model Windsor . There are a few variations of C4 bellhousing and case combinations . Most can be made to work on that motor with the right combination of bellhousing and flexplate / converter.

Happy to help you on the gearbox side if you need advice

Be careful if using a later model block and removing EFI gear.

Engineering regs might still require the use of the anti pollution stuff inc. cat converters due to the engine number and date of the block.
