Default anybody know of engineers in melbourne

does anybody know of a engineer in melbourne that will allow me to put a 289/302 windsor into my capri.

as i have tried 7 so far and they either dont do it anymore or wont engineer it.

and the rta should update that list theres 40 names on it i have crossed out 26 so far if i get some emails back tommorow and they say no that will be 30 or them crossed off.

Ask at Hallam Performance again. I can't remember the name they gave you the 1st time. Wasn't it @ Top Notch Race cars or something?

i would have thought that many capri's would have been engineered to run with the 302W - i think they were even produced by a company back in the 70's (piranha??), so if no one will engineer them, then there must be a lot of illegal capri's getting around!

maybe try contacting one od the places that offers the conversions (like castlemaine rod shop) and see what the go is

all the best with it mate, cant wait to see it done - love the V8 capri

The Vicroads list is the only one that counts afaik. I understand they are tightening up on this sort of thing, when you consider they are putting their name on the line it is a big (legally) thing to do. Speak to big John (ch7472), I think he knows some more about it

If Big John can get a 540ci BB engineered in a mk2 Cortina, i'm sure he knows someone to help you out. :evil3:

It better be You and I both know how much times gone into that car. It'd suck for it to never get a V8.
